Schon in jungen Jahren <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vaticannews.va\/es\/santos\/02\/27\/s--gabriel-de-la-dolorosa-clerigo-pasionista.html\">gelernt zu beten<\/a> durch die Hand seiner Eltern, die ihm einen starken Glauben vermittelten. Sie zogen nach Spoleto, und als er erst vier Jahre alt war, starb seine Mutter, und seine Erziehung wurde in die H\u00e4nde seines Vaters Santos gelegt. Als Teenager war er sehr gut in der Schule.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Der Tod seiner Schwester Maria Luisa pr\u00e4gte ihn zutiefst, und er erwog die M\u00f6glichkeit eines Ordenslebens. Am 22. August 1856, so berichten die Passionisten, h\u00f6rte er w\u00e4hrend einer Prozession deutlich, dass das Bild der heiligsten Maria <a href=\"https:\/\/www.es.catholic.net\/op\/articulos\/34747\/gabriel-de-la-dolorosa-santo.html\">richtete ein paar Worte an ihn<\/a>Franziskus, dieses Leben ist nichts f\u00fcr dich\". Vierzehn Tage sp\u00e4ter, im Alter von 18 Jahren, ging er nach Morrovalle, um sich den Passionisten anzuschlie\u00dfen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Der heilige Gabriel della Dolorosa teilte mit seinen Verwandten die Freude \u00fcber den Ruf Gottes: \"Die Freude, die ich in diesem Haus empfinde, ist unsagbar im Vergleich zu dem Spa\u00df, den ich drau\u00dfen hatte. Ich w\u00fcrde eine Viertelstunde, die ich hier verbracht habe, nicht gegen alle Auff\u00fchrungen in Spoleto eintauschen\". Er legte die Ordensgel\u00fcbde in der Kongregation der Passion Jesu Christi ab, verst\u00e4rkte seine Verehrung f\u00fcr die Mutter Gottes und widmete sich den Armen. Im Alter von 24 Jahren, noch vor seiner Priesterweihe, starb er an Tuberkulose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Mutig auf der Jagd<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">St. Anne Line, Witwe von London w\u00e4hrend der Herrschaft von Elisabeth I. (16.-17. Jahrhundert), bot katholischen Priestern Zuflucht, was sie zum <a href=\"https:\/\/calendariodesantos.com\/santoral\/febrero\/27\/santos-ana-line-y-companeros\">M\u00e4rtyrertum<\/a>. In England erinnert man sich an sie wegen ihrer Tapferkeit in Zeiten der Verfolgung: Sie wurde in Tyburn, London, hingerichtet. Neben ihr wurden die Priester Mark Barkworth vom Orden des Heiligen Benedikt und Roger Filcock von der Gesellschaft Jesu zum M\u00e4rtyrer.
