Zwischen 1885 und 1887, als die Neuevangelisierung Schwarzafrikas begann, wurden hundert ugandische Christen, Katholiken und Anglikaner, von K\u00f6nig Mwanga zum Tode verurteilt. K\u00f6nig Mwanga hatte sich vorgenommen, alle Christen auszurotten, nicht zuletzt, weil sie gegen Sklaverei und Sklavenhandel waren.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Am 3. Juni wurde die Gruppe von Charles Lwanga und seinen zw\u00f6lf Begleitern, die alle zwischen vierzehn und drei\u00dfig Jahre alt waren, gefeiert. Sie waren junge und gl\u00fchende Katholiken und weigerten sich, den W\u00fcnschen des Monarchen nachzugeben. Einigen wurde die Kehle durchgeschnitten, andere wurden lebendig verbrannt. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.franciscanos.org\/agnofranciscano\/m06\/dia0603.html\">Ihre Namen<\/a> sind Carlos Lwanga, Mbaya Tuzinde, Bruno Seronuma, Santiago Buzabaliao, Kizito, Ambrosio Kibuka, Mgagga, Gyavira, Aquiles Kiwanuka, Adolfo Ludigo Mkasa, Mukasa Kiriwanvu, Anatolio Kiriggwajjo und Lucas Banabakintu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Mit den Wei\u00dfen V\u00e4tern<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die letzten Worte des heiligen Charles Lwanga lauteten: \"Ich werde dich bei der Hand nehmen. Wenn wir f\u00fcr Jesus sterben m\u00fcssen, werden wir gemeinsam sterben und uns an den H\u00e4nden halten\". Karl hatte sich zu den Missionaren in Afrika hingezogen gef\u00fchlt, besser bekannt als die <a href=\"https:\/\/www.misionerosafrica.com\/quienes-somos\/nuestro-origenes\/\">Wei\u00dfe Eltern<\/a>gegr\u00fcndet von der <a href=\"https:\/\/www.misionerosafrica.com\/quienes-somos\/nuestro-origenes\/\">Kardinal Lavigerie<\/a>. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vaticannews.va\/es\/santos\/06\/03\/ss--carlos-lwanga-y-companeros--martires-de-uganda.html\">Nachdem er<\/a>Er war eine Referenz f\u00fcr andere und ermutigte den Glauben von Konvertiten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">1920 erkl\u00e4rte Benedikt XV. Karl Lwanga und seine M\u00e4rtyrerkollegen f\u00fcr selig. Der heilige Paul VI. sprach sie 1964 w\u00e4hrend des Zweiten Vatikanischen Konzils heilig und weihte 1969 in Uganda den Hauptaltar des Namugongo-Heiligtums ein.
