{"id":17509,"date":"2021-12-21T17:29:23","date_gmt":"2021-12-21T16:29:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/omnesmag.com\/?p=17509"},"modified":"2021-12-21T17:29:26","modified_gmt":"2021-12-21T16:29:26","slug":"vi-prizes-open-reason","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.omnesmag.com\/en\/foco\/vi-premios-razon-abierta\/","title":{"rendered":"UFV and Ratzinger Foundation announce the VI Open Reasoning Awards"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <meta charset=\"utf-8\"><em><a href=\"https:\/\/premiosrazonabierta.org\/\">VI Open Reason Awards<\/a><\/em> of international character, aim to promote academic research and innovation in the spirit of Benedict XVI's proposal to broaden the horizons of reason.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This proposal is based on the use of reason which, starting from its specific science, opens its horizons to understand man and the world in its totality through dialogue with philosophy and theology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The call is addressed to university professors and researchers, individually or as a working group. The awards will recognize transdisciplinary works that show, from their scientific area, an openness to an integrating principle. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The very basis of these <em>VI Open Reason Awards<\/em> point out that it is necessary \"not only the dialogue with other sciences, but the relationship with Philosophy and\/or Theology at that point where the questions for a meaning that science itself cannot satisfy are found. Works that explicitly question and incorporate reflection on anthropology, epistemology, ethics and meaning in their particular science, in the categories of Research and Teaching\".<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The researchers <\/strong>may submit<strong> <\/strong>scientific publications that take up the challenge of addressing the anthropological, epistemological, ethical and meaning questions of their particular science or discipline. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For their part, the<strong> teachers <\/strong>Those who opt for this distinction may present academic programs explaining in detail how the anthropological, epistemological, ethical and meaning questions are integrated in the teaching of the particular science or discipline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Two prizes of 25,000 euros will be awarded in the Research category and two prizes of 25,000 euros in the Teaching category.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Entries may be submitted <strong>until March 13, 2023 <\/strong>and the shipment is made through the <a href=\"https:\/\/premiosrazonabierta.org\/enviar-trabajo\/\">platform ready for delivery<\/a> on the awards website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"> \u00a0<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Los VI Premios Raz\u00f3n Abierta de car\u00e1cter internacional, tienen como objetivo promover la investigaci\u00f3n e innovaci\u00f3n acad\u00e9mica seg\u00fan el esp\u00edritu de la propuesta de Benedicto XVI de ensanchar los horizontes de la raz\u00f3n.
