{"id":33503,"date":"2023-09-03T06:00:00","date_gmt":"2023-09-03T04:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/omnesmag.com\/?p=33503"},"modified":"2023-09-03T13:58:57","modified_gmt":"2023-09-03T11:58:57","slug":"cinema-monthly-september","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.omnesmag.com\/en\/actualidad\/cine-mes-septiembre\/","title":{"rendered":"What to see this month: Looking at the sky and Eddie the Eagle"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We recommend new releases, classics, or content that you have not yet seen in theaters or on your favorite platforms. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This month, they are two stories of two teenagers who, despite their differences, are both inspirational figures. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Looking at the sky<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jos\u00e9 is 13 years old when he begins to live in his city and his country, Mexico, a religious persecution (1926) that ends up leading to a civil war that history will know as Cristera.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Enlisting in the Christian and rebel forces, Joseph was taken prisoner, tortured and finally executed. His story of virtue and martyrdom raised him to the altars in 2016.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Based on real events, this emotional historical drama comes to our screens trying to emphasize the biography and spirituality of the protagonist, and falling somewhat short when it comes to showing the epic of the conflict as we saw in Cristiada (Dean Wright, 2012) but also conveying love, forgiveness and hope.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"omnes-block-ficha-horizontal\">\n\t<div class=\"clearfix\">\n\t\t<div class=\"left\">\n\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.omnesmag.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/mirando_al_cielo-740061231-large.jpg\" \/>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"right\">\n\t\t\t<h2>Looking at the sky <\/h2>\n\n\t\t\t<div class=\"v\"><strong>Director<\/strong>Antonio Pel\u00e1ez<\/div><div class=\"v\"><strong>Script<\/strong>Antonio Pel\u00e1ez<\/div><div class=\"v\"><strong>Actors<\/strong>Alexis Orosco, Marco Orosco, Mauro Casta\u00f1eda Aceves, Carlos Hugo Hoeflich de la Torre<\/div><div class=\"v\"><strong>Platform<\/strong>: Cinemas<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Eddie the Eagle<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Eddie is a rather simple but extremely tenacious English boy whose dream is to go to the Olympic Games.
