A scale of gold and music,
sharps and flats
and angels with tambourines

in the portal of Bethlehem,
not for the door and the roof

Flower on bud impact,
dew on the flower.

The straws of the manger
child of Bethlehem
today are flowers and roses,
tomorrow they will be gall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You cry between straws,
of the cold you have,
my beautiful child,
and from the heat as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sleep, holy Lamb;
my life, do not cry;
if the wolf hears you,
will come for you, my good.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sleep between straws
that, although cold, you see them,
today are flowers and roses,
tomorrow they will be gall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Those that to keep you warm
so soft they look so soft today,
tomorrow will be thorns
in a cruel crown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But I don't want to tell you,
although you know it,
words of regret
on days of pleasure;<\/p>\n\n\n\n
