St. Rodrigo, a native of Cabra (C\u00f3rdoba), a priest, lived under the reign of Mohammed I, son of Abderram\u00e1n II, and was martyred in C\u00f3rdoba. <a href=\"https:\/\/cuaresmaegabrense.com\/blog\/san-rodrigo-de-cordoba-historia-patron-de-cabra\/\">Goat pattern<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.omnesmag.com\/en\/focus\/saint-of-the-day-saint-eulogius-of-cordoba-firm-faith-before-muslims\/\">St. Eulogius<\/a>Bishop of the diocese, talks about the <a href=\"https:\/\/es.catholic.net\/op\/articulos\/34913\/rodrigo-de-crdoba-santo.html#modal\">martyrdom of Rodrigo<\/a> In the Roman Martyrology his martyrdom is mentioned. St. Rodrigo, for refusing to accept Muhammad as the true prophet, was imprisoned. He coincided with Solomon, who had belonged to the Muslim religion. They were beheaded and thrown into the Guadalquivir river for not wanting to convert to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.omnesmag.com\/en\/focus\/cordoba-dialogo-interreligious-days\/\">islam<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Persecuted Christians<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Saint Sabinus was born in Minya (Egypt). Converted to Christianity, he had to leave his home and possessions to hide with others. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vaticannews.va\/es\/santos\/03\/13.html\">persecuted Christians<\/a> by the governor Arius outside the city. He was discovered, tortured and thrown into the river.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">St. Christina was a young Persian martyr who had to suffer from the beginning of her life. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.elconfidencial.com\/alma-corazon-vida\/2022-03-13\/santoral-13-marzo_2495308\/\">serious obstacles<\/a> because her Catholic faith was frowned upon by her family. She was denounced by her father to the emperor and locked in a cell.
