To cite the above examples, the boulevard owes its name to Saint-Germain, bishop of Paris in 555. The soccer team, founded in 1970, took its name from the French capital and Saint-Germain-en-Laye, where the club was founded. And the church, near the Louvre, is dedicated to the saint.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The text dedicated to St. Germain by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vaticannews.va\/es\/santos\/05\/28.html\">Vatican Agency<\/a> is concise, although it offers data. It says that he was born in Autun (Burgundy, France), at the end of the V century. That he took his vows and was entrusted with the monastery of Saint Syphronianus, which he recovered from decadence. That he was advisor to the king in Paris and became bishop of the city. He died in 576.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Mariana de Jes\u00fas de Paredes, Patroness of Ecuador<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Franciscan Family also celebrates on this day Mariana de Jes\u00fas de Paredes, born in Quito in 1618, and patron saint of Ecuador, together with the Virgin Mary. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.diariodelaltoaragon.es\/noticias\/comarcas\/ribagorza\/2024\/11\/23\/casi-4-500-personas-celebran-en-torreciudad-la-fiesta-de-la-virgen-del-quinche-1780153-daa.html\">Virgin of Quinche<\/a>. Orphaned since childhood, she was a virgin, and unable to enter any monastery, she led a life dedicated to prayer and fasting at home. The <a href=\"https:\/\/es.catholic.net\/op\/articulos\/34807\/mariana-de-jess-de-paredes-santa.html\">Roman Martyrology<\/a> says that \"she consecrated her life to Christ in the Third Order of St. Francis and used her strength to help the poor Indians and blacks (1645)\".
