Easter is \u201cmedicine, healing and gives hope to daily life (Mt 28:18-20)\u201d.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">His entire meditation revolved around this idea, which has a lot to do with the Pope's prayer intention for November: \u201cFor the prevention of suicide\u201d, as you can see in the information from CNS  <a href=\"https:\/\/www.osvnews.com\/popes-prayer-intention-is-for-those-struggling-with-suicidal-thoughts\/\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Easter of Jesus is an event that does not belong to a distant past, already sedimented in tradition, the Pontiff began by saying, but is actualized every day. \u201cThe Easter message is a sure anchor: love has conquered sin forever, and life triumphs over death,\u201d he encouraged the English-speaking pilgrims.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"For Suicide Prevention - The Pope&#039;s Video - November 2025\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/n5GjRN4GLG8?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Video with the prayer intention of Pope Leo XIV for the month of November 2025: \u00abFor the prevention of suicide\u00bb.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Paschal Mystery, every day in the celebration of the Eucharist<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Earlier, his words had been: \u201cThe Church teaches us to remember the Resurrection every year on Easter Sunday and every day in the Eucharistic celebration, during which the promise of the Risen Lord is fully realized: \u2018Know that I am with you always, to the end of time\u2019 (Mt 28:20).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cFor this reason, the Paschal Mystery constitutes the axis of the Christian's life around which all other events revolve,\u201d he said. In his words to the German-speaking faithful and pilgrims, he exhorted them: \u201cJust as Christ entrusted to the Apostles, the Church celebrates in every Holy Mass the true actualization of his death and resurrection. Here Christ's promise is continually fulfilled: \u2018I will be with you always, to the close of the age\u2019 (Mt 28:20)\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>\u201cThe Pole Star\u201d: from the Way of the Cross to the Via Lucis<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In him we have the certainty, the Pontiff stressed, of \u201calways being able to find the pole star towards which to direct our lives of apparent chaos, marked by events that often seem confusing, unacceptable, incomprehensible: evil, in its many facets; suffering, death: events that affect each and every one of us\u201d.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Meditating on the mystery of the Resurrection, we find an answer to our thirst for meaning. \u201cIn the face of our fragile humanity, the Easter proclamation becomes medicine and healing, nourishing hope in the face of the alarming challenges that life places before us every day on a personal and planetary level. From the perspective of Easter, the Way of the Cross is transfigured into the Via Lucis,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Resurrection: not an idea, not a theory, but an event on which faith is based.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Pope wanted to point out that \u201cEaster does not eliminate the cross, but overcomes it in the prodigious mourning that has changed human history. Our time too, marked by so many crosses, invokes the dawn of Easter hope\u201d.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe Resurrection of Christ is not an idea, a theory, but the Event that is the foundation of faith. He, the Risen One, always reminds us of it through the Holy Spirit, so that we can be his witnesses even where human history sees no light on the horizon\u201d.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Easter hope does not disappoint, he pointed out shortly after. \u201cTo truly believe in Easter through the daily journey means to revolutionize our lives, to be transformed in order to transform the world with the gentle and courageous strength of Christian hope.\u201d.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>St. Benedicta of the Cross and St. Francis of Assisi<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In two moments of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vatican.va\/content\/leo-xiv\/es\/events\/event.dir.html\/content\/vaticanevents\/es\/2025\/11\/5\/udienza-generale.html\">catechesis<\/a>, Leo XIV has relied on some saints.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">First of all, he cited a \u201cgreat philosopher of the 20th century, St. Teresa Benedicta of the Cross - whose secular name was Edith Stein - who delved so deeply into the mystery of the human person, and who reminds us of this dynamism of the constant search for fullness\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He then recalled that from death \u2018nullu homo vivente po skampare\u2019 (no living man can escape), as St. Francis of Assisi sings (cf. Canticle of Brother Sun)\u201d. But \u201ceverything changes thanks to that morning when the women who had gone to the tomb to anoint the body of the Lord found it empty\u201d.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Easter proclamation is \u201cthe most beautiful, joyful and moving news that has ever resounded in the course of history,\u201d he said. \u201cIt is the \u201cGospel\u201d par excellence, which testifies to the victory of love over sin and of life over death.\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>\u201cWe are all called to be saints\u201d<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Before giving the blessing, in Italian, the Pope urged the international community not to forget Myanmar, and recalled the recent feast of All Saints. He reflected on \u00abthe common vocation to holiness. We are all called to be saints. I invite you, therefore, to adhere ever more closely to Christ, following the criteria of authenticity that the Saints have given us as an example\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Made for the eternal<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Shortly before, he had reminded the French-speaking faithful of the message he is repeating these days, in line with the liturgy: \u201cThe month of November not only invites us to pray for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.omnesmag.com\/en\/news\/november-month-for-the-dead-how-to-win-indulgences\/\">our deceased<\/a>, It also reminds us that we are made for the infinite and the eternal: that is, for the blessed life, the only reality that can fulfill the aspirations of our heart.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Con su reflexi\u00f3n sobre \u2018La Resurrecci\u00f3n de Cristo y los retos del mundo actual\u2019, el Papa ha ofrecido en la Audiencia de esta ma\u00f1ana una inyecci\u00f3n de optimismo y esperanza.
