{"id":59530,"date":"2026-03-19T12:21:29","date_gmt":"2026-03-19T11:21:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.omnesmag.com\/?p=59530"},"modified":"2026-03-19T12:21:30","modified_gmt":"2026-03-19T11:21:30","slug":"boney-m-and-the-gipsy-kings-will-perform-at-the-iv-fiesta-de-la-resurreccion","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.omnesmag.com\/en\/actualidad\/boney-m-y-los-gipsy-kings-actuaran-en-la-iv-fiesta-de-la-resurreccion\/","title":{"rendered":"Boney M and the Gipsy Kings to perform at the 4th Resurrection Festival"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On April 11, the Plaza de Cibeles will host the fourth edition of the Resurrection Concert organized by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.acdp.es\/\" type=\"link\" id=\"https:\/\/www.acdp.es\/\">Catholic Association of Propagandists<\/a> (ACdP), \u201cto commemorate the most important event in history: the Resurrection of the Lord\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Two emblematic groups in the history of international music will add their special touch to an event that, in its third edition, gathered more than 85,000 people and that this year will take place on April 11.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Preparing for the Pope's visit&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Alfonso Bull\u00f3n de Mendoza, president of the Catholic Association of Propagandists, wanted to emphasize that this year's feast of the Resurrection \u201cwill also be a very special feast because it will warm up the motors for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.omnesmag.com\/en\/news\/the-popes-visit-to-spain-few-confirmed-data-and-a-lot-of-interest\/\" type=\"post\" id=\"59443\">Pope's visit in June<\/a>\".<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pablo Velasco, secretary of the Catholic Association of Propagandists, was in charge of presenting this year's novelties, and of announcing the Music and Faith Award, given by the ACdP, which this year went to the young Madrid-born \u00c1ngel Catela. Catela will also perform on stage in Cibeles in this IV concert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>An international concert<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The international artist Liz Mitchell, from the group Boney M and the French gypsies of the Gipsy Kings will be the guest and central artists of this musical event. \u201cThey are cross-cutting artists, who unite all the generations that attend the concert,\u201d said Velasco, of these two groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One more year, the Catholic group Hakuna and the DJ music of El Pulpo will return to the stages of Paseo de Cibeles.
