{"id":60967,"date":"2026-05-04T12:56:16","date_gmt":"2026-05-04T10:56:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.omnesmag.com\/?p=60967"},"modified":"2026-05-04T12:56:16","modified_gmt":"2026-05-04T10:56:16","slug":"pope-regina-caeli-may-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.omnesmag.com\/en\/actualidad\/papa-regina-caeli-3-mayo\/","title":{"rendered":"Pope proclaims that there is room for everyone in Heaven"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On May 3, 2026, during the prayer of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vatican.va\/content\/leo-xiv\/es\/angelus\/2026\/documents\/20260503-regina-caeli.html\" type=\"link\" id=\"https:\/\/www.vatican.va\/content\/leo-xiv\/es\/angelus\/2026\/documents\/20260503-regina-caeli.html\">Regina Caeli<\/a>, Pope Leo XIV offered a meditation centered on Easter hope, the promise of Christ and the common destiny of humanity in God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The promise of a place for everyone<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Pope started from the Gospel of the Last Supper, highlighting Jesus\u201c promise: \u201dWhen I have gone and prepared a place for you, I will come back again to take you to myself\u201c. In this announcement, he explained, a fundamental truth is revealed: in God there is room for every person. The image of the \u201dFather's house\" is not only a consolation in the face of death, but an affirmation of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.omnesmag.com\/en\/news\/welcome-birth-two-cultural-challenges\/\" type=\"post\" id=\"3089\">welcome <\/a>universal. Christ, as servant, prepares this space for each one, so that no one is a stranger or forgotten, but always awaited.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>From exclusion to acceptance<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Pontiff contrasted two opposing logics. On the one hand, the \u201cold world,\u201d marked by the search for privilege, exclusivity and recognition limited to a few. On the other, the \u201cnew world\u201d inaugurated by the Risen One, where the most valuable things are open to all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In this new horizon, the fundamental rules of living together change: \u201cgratitude takes the place of competition; acceptance eliminates exclusion; abundance no longer generates inequality\u201d. Instead of diluting personal identity, this universal openness allows everyone to be fully himself. Faced with the threat of death, which seems to erase the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.omnesmag.com\/en\/resources-2\/the-memory-of-god\/\" type=\"post\" id=\"20883\">memory <\/a>and the name, God guarantees the definitive identity of each person.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Faith that frees from the desire for recognition<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The core of the message focuses on Jesus\u201c invitation: \u201dBelieve in God and believe also in me. According to the Pope, this faith has a liberating force: it breaks the anxiety to possess, to stand out or to achieve prestige as a condition of worth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In God, he affirmed, each person already possesses infinite value. It is not necessary to compete for recognition, because dignity is not conquered, it is received. This certainty is strengthened in mutual love, lived according to the new commandment. To love as Jesus loved makes it possible to anticipate heaven on earth and to show that fraternity and peace are not utopias, but the true human destiny.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The Christian community as an open house<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The meditation concluded with a prayer to the Virgin Mary, presented as Mother of the Church. The Pope asked that every Christian community reflect this \u201chouse open to all,\u201d where each person is welcomed and valued in his or her uniqueness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Calls and greetings<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After the prayer of the Regina Caeli, Pope Leo XIV recalled the beginning of the month of May, traditionally dedicated to the Virgin Mary, underlining the importance of praying the Regina Caeli. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.omnesmag.com\/en\/signatures\/51-reasons-to-pray-the-rosary\/\" type=\"post\" id=\"52886\">Rosario<\/a> as a community experience of prayer, in continuity with the days when the disciples awaited the coming of the Holy Spirit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He also highlighted the celebration of World Press Freedom Day, promoted by UNESCO, denouncing the frequent violations of this right and remembering journalists who are victims of violence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Finally, he addressed greetings to various groups of the faithful and associations present, with special mention to those who work in the defense of minors in the face of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.omnesmag.com\/en\/news\/tutela-minorum-path-to-healing-abuse\/\" type=\"post\" id=\"42832\">abuse<\/a>, thanking them for their commitment to prevention and support for victims.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>El 3 de mayo de 2026, durante el rezo del Regina Caeli, el Papa Le\u00f3n XIV ofreci\u00f3 una meditaci\u00f3n centrada en la esperanza pascual, la promesa de Cristo y el destino com\u00fan de la humanidad en Dios.
