Entre 1885 et 1887, au d\u00e9but de la nouvelle \u00e9vang\u00e9lisation de l'Afrique noire, une centaine de chr\u00e9tiens ougandais, catholiques et anglicans, ont \u00e9t\u00e9 condamn\u00e9s \u00e0 mort par le roi Mwanga. Le roi Mwanga avait entrepris d'\u00e9liminer tous les chr\u00e9tiens, notamment parce qu'ils s'opposaient \u00e0 l'esclavage et \u00e0 la vente d'esclaves.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le 3 juin, le groupe de Charles Lwanga et de ses douze compagnons, tous \u00e2g\u00e9s de quatorze \u00e0 trente ans, a \u00e9t\u00e9 c\u00e9l\u00e9br\u00e9. Jeunes et fervents catholiques, ils ont refus\u00e9 de se plier \u00e0 la volont\u00e9 du monarque. Certains ont \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9gorg\u00e9s, d'autres br\u00fbl\u00e9s vifs. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.franciscanos.org\/agnofranciscano\/m06\/dia0603.html\">Leurs noms<\/a> Il s'agit de Carlos Lwanga, Mbaya Tuzinde, Bruno Seronuma, Santiago Buzabaliao, Kizito, Ambrosio Kibuka, Mgagga, Gyavira, Aquiles Kiwanuka, Adolfo Ludigo Mkasa, Mukasa Kiriwanvu, Anatolio Kiriggwajjo et Lucas Banabakintu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Avec les P\u00e8res Blancs<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Les derniers mots prononc\u00e9s par Saint Charles Lwanga ont \u00e9t\u00e9 : \"Je te prendrai par la main. Si nous devons mourir pour J\u00e9sus, nous mourrons ensemble, en nous tenant par la main\". Charles avait \u00e9t\u00e9 attir\u00e9 par les missionnaires en Afrique, plus connus sous le nom de <a href=\"https:\/\/www.misionerosafrica.com\/quienes-somos\/nuestro-origenes\/\">Parents blancs<\/a>fond\u00e9e par la <a href=\"https:\/\/www.misionerosafrica.com\/quienes-somos\/nuestro-origenes\/\">Cardinal Lavigerie<\/a>. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vaticannews.va\/es\/santos\/06\/03\/ss--carlos-lwanga-y-companeros--martires-de-uganda.html\">Apr\u00e8s \u00eatre devenu<\/a>Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 une r\u00e9f\u00e9rence pour les autres et a encourag\u00e9 la foi des convertis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En 1920, Beno\u00eet XV a proclam\u00e9 Charles Lwanga et ses compagnons martyrs bienheureux. Saint Paul VI les a canonis\u00e9s en 1964, lors du Concile Vatican II, et en Ouganda (1969), il a consacr\u00e9 le ma\u00eetre-autel du sanctuaire de Namugongo. En 2015, le pape Fran\u00e7ois a c\u00e9l\u00e9br\u00e9 la messe dans ce m\u00eame sanctuaire apr\u00e8s avoir visit\u00e9 l'\u00e9glise anglicane voisine, \u00e9galement d\u00e9di\u00e9e aux martyrs du pays.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>San Carlos Lwanga y compa\u00f1eros fueron m\u00e1rtires laicos ugandeses.
