L'altro santo locale, San Froil\u00e1n, \u00e8 il patrono della diocesi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mentre prestava servizio come centurione, era tenuto a partecipare a eventi ufficiali pagani. In particolare, la celebrazione del compleanno dell'imperatore Massimiano Erculeo (o degli imperatori sotto la diarchia), nell'anno 298. La tradizione racconta che Marcello, vedendo che la celebrazione era contraria alla sua coscienza cristiana, si alz\u00f2, gett\u00f2 le sue insegne di centurione (cintura, spada) e dichiar\u00f2: \u201cIo servo Ges\u00f9 Cristo, Re eterno\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Padre di famiglia<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Fu immediatamente arrestato. Secondo il Martirologio Romano, fu processato per la prima volta in Spagna il 21 luglio 298, anche se il processo finale e la decapitazione a Tangeri sono fissati per il 29 o 30 ottobre 298.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.diariodeleon.es\/opinion\/tribunas\/221026\/929325\/san-marcelo-centurion-martir-patrono.html?utm_source=chatgpt.com\"> <\/a>Il prefetto Aurelius Agricolanus emise la sentenza di morte per decapitazione, ritenendo che Marcello avesse abbandonato la sua carica militare e rinunciato al culto imperiale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">San Marcello \u00e8 presentato come sposato con Santa Nonia (o Nona) e padre di dodici figli. Tra questi ci sono Claudio, Luperzio e Vittorico, anch'essi martiri. Le sue reliquie sono state trasferite nella citt\u00e0 di Le\u00f3n, in Spagna, di cui \u00e8 patrono.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Beato Alessandro Zaryckyj<\/strong>,<strong> morti a Dolinka<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tra gli altri santi, oggi si celebra anche il beato ucraino Alexander Zaryckyj, nato nel 1912. Ordinato sacerdote nel 1936, prest\u00f2 servizio come parroco e nel 1948 fu arrestato dalle autorit\u00e0 durante la Seconda guerra mondiale. Dopo essere stato arrestato e poi esiliato a Karaganda (Kazakistan), fu rilasciato nel 1956 grazie a un'amnistia generale e successivamente nominato amministratore apostolico del Kazakistan e della Siberia. Ma nel 1962 fu nuovamente arrestato e mor\u00ec. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.omnesmag.com\/it\/focus\/papa-leone-onorera-quasi-1-700-martiri-moderni\/\">martire<\/a> di fede un anno dopo nel campo di concentramento di Dolinka (Kazakistan).<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>San Marcelo fue un centuri\u00f3n que naci\u00f3 y vivi\u00f3 en Le\u00f3n durante la segunda mitad del siglo III.
