W latach 1885-1887, kiedy rozpocz\u0119\u0142a si\u0119 nowa ewangelizacja czarnej Afryki, stu ugandyjskich chrze\u015bcijan, katolik\u00f3w i anglikan\u00f3w, zosta\u0142o skazanych na \u015bmier\u0107 przez kr\u00f3la Mwang\u0119. Kr\u00f3l Mwanga postanowi\u0142 zniszczy\u0107 wszystkich chrze\u015bcijan, mi\u0119dzy innymi dlatego, \u017ce sprzeciwiali si\u0119 niewolnictwu i sprzeda\u017cy niewolnik\u00f3w.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">W dniu 3 czerwca, grupa Karola Lwangi i jego dwunastu towarzyszy, wszyscy w wieku od czternastu do trzydziestu lat, wzi\u0119\u0142a udzia\u0142 w obchodach. Byli to m\u0142odzi i \u017carliwi katolicy, kt\u00f3rzy odm\u00f3wili poddania si\u0119 woli monarchy.
