{"id":49461,"date":"2025-06-07T06:46:00","date_gmt":"2025-06-07T04:46:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.omnesmag.com\/?p=49461"},"modified":"2025-11-28T15:01:41","modified_gmt":"2025-11-28T13:01:41","slug":"el-padre-bob","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.omnesmag.com\/zh\/firmas\/el-padre-bob\/","title":{"rendered":"El Padre Bob"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le atra\u00eda mucho el estudio y estuvo tentado de quedarse en Roma para llevar una vida acad\u00e9mica, pero le pudo m\u00e1s el esp\u00edritu misionero que lo arrastrar\u00eda hacia el Per\u00fa. Tras su ordenaci\u00f3n fue destinado a trabajar en la misi\u00f3n de Chulucanas y sirvi\u00f3 en las ciudades de Piura, Trujillo y Chiclayo de 1985 a 1986 y de 1988 a 1998, como vicario parroquial, funcionario diocesano, profesor de seminario y administrador parroquial. Posteriormente, fue elegido prior general de los agustinos, cargo que ocup\u00f3 de 2001 a 2013.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El Papa Francisco lo nombr\u00f3 administrador apost\u00f3lico de Chiclayo en el a\u00f1o 2014; el a\u00f1o 2015 adquiri\u00f3 la nacionalidad de ese pa\u00eds y fue nombrado obispo residencial de Chiclayo. Ocup\u00f3 el cargo de obispo de 2015 a 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pidi\u00f3 quedarse en el Per\u00fa cuando el papa Francisco se lo quiso llevar a Roma. Pensaba que no era el momento de irse, se sent\u00eda comprometido con el Per\u00fa, pero Dios ten\u00eda otros planes&#8230; Robert Prevost fue nombrado Prefecto del <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vatican.va\/content\/romancuria\/es\/dicasteri\/dicastero-vescovi\/profilo.html\">Dicasterio para los Obispos<\/a> y, tambi\u00e9n, presidente de la Pontificia Comisi\u00f3n para Am\u00e9rica Latina, desempe\u00f1ando estos cargos hasta abril de 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No es f\u00e1cil hacerse a un pa\u00eds siendo de otro. Amar el lugar donde vives, luchar por amarlo. No comparar. Buscar lo bueno y obviar en lo posible lo que a uno no le parezca bueno&#8230; Todos los peruanos que lo trataron vieron en \u00e9l una agustino que buscaba el Amor de Dios y el pr\u00f3jimo a trav\u00e9s de la caridad fraterna. Vivi\u00f3 muy bien el \u00abHacerse a todos para ganar a todos\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Era americano pero nunca lo sintieron extra\u00f1o. Era agustino, pero no trajo ning\u00fan agustino con \u00e9l. Un hombre receptivo que transmit\u00eda tranquilidad y confianza. Se gan\u00f3 el cari\u00f1o de todos. Era muy querido, se podr\u00eda decir que se hizo peruano.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Siempre fue un peruano m\u00e1s. Nunca hablaba de los EEUU. Se hab\u00eda adaptado muy bien a la tierra, en cultura, comida e incluso quer\u00eda aprender las expresiones y forma de hablar de Chiclayo, porque fue all\u00ed a servir. Solamente hab\u00eda un d\u00eda en que recordaba su tierra natal: el d\u00eda de Acci\u00f3n de Gracias en el que troceaba el pavo como lo hac\u00eda su padre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le\u00f3n XIV en su primera audiencia se dirigi\u00f3 en castellano a su antigua di\u00f3cesis de <a href=\"https:\/\/www.omnesmag.com\/zh\/%e5%b1%95%e7%a4%ba\/jose-antonio-pandemia-prevost-abrio-iglesias\/\">Chiclayo<\/a>, mostrando su cercan\u00eda con la comunidad latinoamericana.
