Pope calls Peru and Chile a "land of saints

Pope Francis will visit Chile from January 15 to 18, followed by Peru from January 18 to 21.

Pope Francis will visit Chile from January 15 to 18, followed by Peru from January 18 to 21. "You are a land of saints"said the Pope to Cardinal Juan Luis Cipriani, Archbishop of Lima. Fr. Luis Gaspar, executive director of the Pope's trip to Lima, invites in an interview with Palabra to prepare with the sacraments of the Eucharist and Reconciliation. June 19 last year was a day of celebration for Chile and Peru. On that day, the official announcement was made of the visit of the Pope Francis’ to both countries. Several months have passed, and the Holy Father's arrival in Chile, on January 15, and in Peru, is imminent. The first time the Pope traveled to Latin America was to Brazil in 2013, shortly after being elected, on the occasion of World Youth Day. Now it is time for Chile and Peru. Uruguay and his native Argentina remain for later.
